Haven Medical Home is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Augusta, GA

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive inpatient medical services to adults in an acute rehabilitation hospital. This is a part-time position with competitive pay.

Duties:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribe medications and order appropriate laboratory tests
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic illnesses
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize electronic health record systems (Cerner) for documentation and communication
- Specialize in acute care management for patients with complex medical conditions

Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Georgia
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in primary care or acute care setting
- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Strong knowledge of primary care principles and evidence-based practice guidelines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with patients and their families
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Benefits:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Work every other weekend Friday-Sunday. Usually 3-4 hours in the hospital, documentation can be done at home. No after-hours calls. Physician is on call for the hospital at all times and takes first call.
